Infertility

Webster’s medical dictionary defines infertility as “incapable of or unsuccessful in achieving pregnancy over a considerable period of time (as a year) in spite of determined attempts by heterosexual intercourse without conception”.

  Many couples have experienced infertility and it can be one of the hardest times in their life.  We at Interchange Medical Wellness center want to help make conception an easier process.  We will take a comprehensive health history of both the mother and father to be, as well as a complete physical.  Then based on those results recommend a course of treatment.  That may include but is not limited to blood work, hormonal testing, acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy, or supplementation.  Both of our physicians are certified in Mercier Therapy which is a specialized form of massage that can help increase blood flow to the organs in the pelvis.  Whether the condition is with a male or female, we are prepared to help you achieve the dream of having a child.

Yearly physical

Once a woman reaches the age of 18 or is sexually active a yearly PAP Smear as well as a breast exam.  What many in the general public do not know is that chiropractic physicians are able to perform gynecological exams since we are primary care physicians.  One of the pluses of receiving this exam with us is that unlike allopathic doctors, we can normally see the patient for the exam within 24 hours.  We will perform the exam as well as teach our patients how to do monthly breast exams in the privacy of their own homes.  At this time we can also complete a Vaginosis Panel if the patient feels there is the possibility that they are suffering from a yeast or bacterial infection.  With this panel we will look for both yeast and bacteria that maybe causing symptoms.  With this we are then able to give our recommendation as to the treatment.  We also encourage all of our patients to have yearly blood work completed even if they are healthy.  This blood work can serve as a baseline in the case of future illness or just reassurance that the patient is healthy.

Gyne/Pap Vaginosis and Pap. Testing "Although recurrent or chronic vaginitis may be caused by yeast (candida albaicans), many cases arise from other organisms or from alterations within the vaginal environment (factors often overlooked by the traditional medical community) . The Vaginosis Test is one of the most comprehensive evaluations available for identifying these factors. Female Hormone Analysis

PMS. Infertility. Fibroids. Depression. All of these are signs of a possible hormone imbalance. We use Diagnos-Techs’ Female Hormone Panel. With this panel a female collects 11 saliva samples throughout one month. This allows us to look at multiple hormones thru the entire month. The hormones we look at are Progesterone, Estrogen, Estrodial, DHEA, as well as Testosterone. When we are able to evaluate throughout the month we can then come up with a patient specific treatment. For example, if a patient suffers from symptoms of PMS 4 days before onset of menstruation, she may only require hormonal modification those 4 days of the month.
